Senior Project Manager - Mechanical

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Mechanical to lead the delivery of hyperscale data centre projects from inception through completion. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full delivery of data centre projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
• Provide overall leadership to project teams, consultants, contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Control project scope, programme, budget, resources, risks and quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor project programmes, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct progress meetings and deliver regular reports to senior management and clients.
• Review technical submissions, method statements, inspection and test plans.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering and project management experience.
• Proven experience delivering data centre projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with strong technical writing skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Results‑driven mindset with a collaborative approach.
