Senior Project Manager – Tax and E-invoicing Mega Projects

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead national‑scale transformation programmes in tax and e‑invoicing. You will oversee multi‑year, multi‑million‑dollar initiatives that integrate digital tax systems, legal frameworks and public awareness campaigns, ensuring they align with strategic national objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and deliver mega‑projects, developing detailed project, communication and escalation plans.
• Coordinate cross‑functional workstreams covering information systems, legal compliance and public awareness.
• Manage the phased national rollout of tax reform and e‑invoicing solutions, tracking timelines and performance milestones.
• Break down large tasks into work packages, define and maintain a RACI matrix for all stakeholders.
• Identify, mitigate and resolve risks and issues, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope.
• Maintain regular communication with government bodies, legal teams, IT departments and external consultants.
• Oversee multi‑million‑dollar budgets and resource allocation, handling escalations and conflict resolution.
• Provide status reports and progress updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification highly desirable.
• 15+ years of experience managing large, complex projects in the financial, tax or public sector.
• Proven experience delivering national‑level digital transformation programmes.
• ERP implementation experience preferred.
