Senior QA/QC Inspector – Advanced NDT

About the role

The Senior QA/QC Inspector (Advanced NDT) is responsible for interpreting product and process suitability against specification requirements using advanced non‑destructive testing techniques. The role ensures accurate defect detection, characterization, and supports safe, reliable project execution while providing independent technical oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify PAUT/TOFD scan plans, coverage, calibration, sensitivity, and reporting against codes, specifications and inspection scope.
• Provide technical oversight of PAUT applications on carbon steel, dissimilar and clad weld configurations, including scan strategy and beam coverage.
• Evaluate and validate indication detection, characterization and sizing results from advanced NDT methods and assess compliance with acceptance criteria.
• Issue inspection‑related recommendations and support weld quality decisions during project execution.
• Coordinate with internal project teams, EPC contractors, NDT contractors and third‑party inspection agencies while maintaining inspection independence.
• Participate in regular meetings with QA/QC Engineer to discuss priorities and project status.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional able to work under pressure on fast‑track shutdown projects.
• Proven ability to provide concise, professional responses to quality‑related queries.
• Experience conducting investigations and problem‑solving of routine and ad‑hoc nature.

Required skills

• Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
• Time‑of‑Flight Diffraction (TOFD)
• Advanced NDT scan planning, calibration and sensitivity assessment
• Interpretation of weld inspection results for carbon steel and clad welds
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and project specifications
