Senior Social Media Officer

About the role

The Senior Social Media Officer will bring Qatar Airways’ social presence to life through creative, social‑first content and day‑to‑day execution. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will produce timely, relevant, and visually impactful material that supports business objectives and strengthens the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and protect Qatar Airways’ brand reputation across all social media platforms with accurate, engaging content.
• Plan and deliver daily, weekly, monthly and yearly social media content that drives audience engagement.
• Lead end‑to‑end development and production of dynamic social‑first content, from concept through filming/editing to publishing.
• Execute channel strategies to grow reach, engagement and follower base through performance‑led planning and optimisation.
• Coordinate large‑scale social media and content projects with internal stakeholders, media agencies and external partners.

Required profile

• Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., social media/digital marketing, communications, graphic design, business administration or fine arts).
• Minimum five years of experience in social media and content creation; travel industry or agency experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, handle irregular hours and manage high‑profile, multi‑stream projects.
• Strong creativity, presentation skills, attention to detail and willingness to experiment.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
