Senior Staff Nurse

About the role

A healthcare team in Qatar is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Staff Nurse. The nurse delivers high-quality patient care, supervises junior nursing staff when required, ensures compliance with MOPH regulations and maintains the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care according to clinical protocols and international best practices.
• Perform advanced patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, injections and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and accurately document clinical findings.
• Assist physicians in medical procedures and emergency interventions, and respond to emergencies with BLS/ACLS support.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.
• Supervise and guide junior nurses and support staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with MOPH regulations.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and preventive care.
• Take part in audits, quality improvement initiatives and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing) from a recognized institution.
• Valid MOPH (QCHP) license in Qatar (mandatory).
• Minimum 5-7+ years of clinical experience in a hospital, clinic or industrial setting; ICU, ER, industrial or corporate clinic experience is an advantage.
• Ability to handle high-pressure environments and emergency situations.

Required skills

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic preferred).
• Valid BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
