Nurse Technician

About the role

A qualified and experienced Nurse Technician is sought to support nurses and healthcare professionals in providing basic patient care and keeping the clinical environment safe, clean and efficient. The position is based in Qatar and requires at least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Technician/Assistant after completing the required registration or licensing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with basic wound care and dressing changes
• Collect urine, stool and sputum specimens for laboratory testing
• Monitor patients and report changes in condition to the supervising nurse
• Assist nurses with medication preparation as directed
• Communicate with patients and families about basic care procedures
• Maintain accurate patient care documentation
• Restock medical and nursing supplies
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Keep the patient-care area clean, safe and organised

Required profile

• Nursing diploma: 18 months to 2 years after 12 years of high school, or a 3-year diploma after 9 years of general education from a recognised Technical Nursing School
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Technician/Nurse Assistant after registration/licensing
• Hospital or healthcare facility experience preferred
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week
• Age preferably 40 or below
• Good communication skills, patient-focused approach, and ability to work under the supervision of registered nursing staff
