Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

About the role

A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse position in Qatar, working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. The LPN provides safe, ethical and compassionate care to patients with low-acuity, stable and predictable conditions, working alongside Registered Nurses and physicians. The stated salary is QAR 3,500 (about 92,219 INR) per month.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, height and weight.
• Plan, implement, evaluate and document practical nursing care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient health records for referral and continuity of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Prepare and administer injections and enemas as prescribed.
• Perform routine tests such as Random Blood Sugar (RBS) and record food and fluid intake and output.
• Assist physicians and registered nurses with tests and medical procedures.
• Educate family members about routine procedures and appropriate patient care.

Required profile

• Diploma in Practical Nursing (2 years after high school) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid nursing license preferred; DataFlow certification required.
• Prometric is not required.
• Preferably not more than 40 years of age.

Required skills

• Strong communication, interpersonal and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently within the scope of practical nursing practice and to collaborate with RNs and physicians.
