Tech Maintenance Assistant

About the role

The Tech Maintenance Assistant will support the Field Line Manager within the HVAC Aftermarket team in Doha, Qatar. The role involves installing, servicing, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on a range of refrigeration equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled site visits, respond to customer calls and complete maintenance tasks within agreed timeframes.
• Maintain and repair compressors, condensing units, evaporators, valves and control systems, following service agreements and safety standards.
• Document work performed, submit service reports and keep customers informed of equipment status and recommended upgrades.
• Interpret technical drawings such as electrical schematics, fluid diagrams and piping layouts.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff and seek clarification when needed.
• Promote additional service or material orders and advise customers on proper system operation.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., BAS/BNS, HVAC, Refrigeration) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience with refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to work under supervision, follow safety and environmental regulations, and communicate effectively with customers.
