Transportation & Installation Lead (Pre‑commissioning & De‑commissioning)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Transportation & Installation (T&I) Lead to manage pipeline pre‑commissioning and offshore de‑commissioning activities on greenfield and brownfield projects in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise pipeline pre‑commissioning activities such as flooding, cleaning, gauging, hydrostatic testing, inline inspection, dewatering, drying and nitrogen purging.
• Lead offshore de‑commissioning of live pipelines, including isolation, depressurisation, flushing, cleaning and subsea removal.
• Manage the contractor’s full scope from engineering planning through offshore execution and close‑out.
• Review and approve contractor philosophies, execution strategies, method statements and engineering calculations.
• Coordinate with offshore operations, VMT, diving, ROV, marine and HSE teams to ensure safe execution and compliance with SIMOPS, HSE and environmental requirements.
• Oversee marine vessel mobilisation, quality execution onboard vessels and JUBs, and handle punch lists, technical queries and non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Subsea Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of offshore installation experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role, and 5 years as a Field Engineer or Site Supervisor on installation vessels.

Required skills

• Pipeline pre‑commissioning and offshore de‑commissioning procedures.
• Pipeline pigging and use of subsea isolation plugs.
• Hydrostatic testing, dewatering, drying and nitrogen purging techniques.
• Knowledge of DNV‑ST‑F101, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API and ISO pipeline/offshore standards.
