Vessel Lead (DP2 Workboat) – Offshore Qatar

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Vessel Lead for a DP2 workboat operating offshore Qatar. The role serves as the Company’s on‑site representative aboard a Diving Support Vessel (DSV) or Cable Lay Vessel (CLV), ensuring safe, compliant and high‑quality execution of subsea construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Company’s Site Representative on the DSV/CLV, coordinating with the Vessel Management Team and on‑shore Project Management Team.
• Lead day‑to‑day interactions with the EPC contractor’s Offshore Construction Manager and craft labour.
• Monitor compliance with Company specifications, procedures, risk assessments and plans.
• Oversee incident response, SIMOPS, and PTW processes within 500 m of Company assets.
• Supervise marine activities in collaboration with the Company Marine Lead, ensuring vessel compliance through site verification.
• Coordinate Dive and ROV equipment audits with the Diving Lead and ensure certification and audit actions are up to date.
• Provide leadership to a multi‑cultural offshore team and drive problem‑solving initiatives.

Required profile

• High school graduate with recognized offshore training certifications.
• OPITO H2S and T‑BOSIET certifications (mandatory).
• IMCA Dive Supervisor certificate.
• Minimum 15 years offshore installation experience on DSVs, including at least 5 years as an Offshore Construction Manager, CSR or DSV Superintendent.
• At least 5 years experience as a diver or dive supervisor.
