Warehouse Team Leader

About the role

The Warehouse Team Leader will oversee the rapid, efficient and safe movement and storage of a wide range of beverages, ensuring products are kept at the correct temperatures and are available at the right place and time to maximise sales. You will support the Warehouse Officer in implementing SOPs, managing container receipts and organising resources while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement, storage and temperature control of stock to minimise shortages, breakages and handling costs.
• Assist the Warehouse Officer with SOP implementation, container receiving, planning and resource organisation.
• Brief the team on forward plans and conduct regular safety briefings.
• Operate a satellite warehouse independently when required.
• Ensure pallet labelling, picking and expiry‑date management to reduce stock loss.
• Record all stock receipts accurately in GRNs, verify expiry dates and maintain proper bar‑coding.
• Oversee safe palletisation, storage location assignment and handling procedures.
• Monitor and schedule maintenance of warehouse equipment to avoid operational disruptions.

Required profile

• Relevant vocational, tertiary or trade qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Proficient spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, stacking, storage and climate‑control standards for alcohol and chilled/frozen food.
• Strong safety‑first attitude and familiarity with PPE and warehouse safety standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and man‑management skills, able to multitask under pressure.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Prior experience in alcohol logistics or marine insurance is an advantage.
• Qatar driving licence for light‑duty vehicles is a plus but not essential.
