Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

The Well Intervention Engineer will plan, coordinate and support safe, cost‑effective well intervention activities to optimise oil and gas production and injection. The role is based in Doha and involves offshore operations across Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare well intervention programs for slickline, coiled tubing, pumping and other treatments.
• Coordinate interventions with Production, Petroleum Engineering, offshore teams and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures and ALARP requirements.
• Plan personnel, equipment and materials required for offshore operations.
• Manage mobilisation, shipment and logistics of equipment to offshore sites.
• Monitor offshore operations, review daily reports and track Non‑Productive Time.
• Oversee contracts, contractor performance and risk mitigation measures.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of oil & gas experience, including at least 3 years offshore.
• Strong knowledge of slickline, coiled tubing, pumping and well treatments.
• Good understanding of well completion and workover equipment.
• Proven experience in equipment planning, mobilisation and offshore logistics.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and independent decision‑making skills.
• Fluent in English; IWCF Level 4 certification preferred.
