Workforce Planning & Organizational Development Specialist

About the role

The Workforce Planning & Organizational Development Specialist will support QatarEnergy LNG in aligning its people strategy with business objectives. The role focuses on advising on workforce planning, Qatarization, succession planning, and organizational design to drive efficiency and effectiveness across allocated business groups.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse root causes of organisational inefficiencies and propose improvements through detailed studies.
• Facilitate discussions with department managers and senior officers on staffing changes, reclassifications, and redesigns, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies.
• Review and assess organisational change requests, including complex restructures, using analytical tools and diagnostic methods.
• Prepare and maintain up‑to‑date organisation charts, supervising their distribution and ensuring accuracy.
• Support the annual workforce budget forecast, validate headcount plans, and advise line managers on data accuracy.
• Develop KPIs, analytics, and reports to monitor workforce planning and organisational performance.
• Collaborate with IT on new solutions for workforce planning and organisational development, gathering requirements and coordinating testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in workforce planning, organisational design, or HR analytics within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with experience conducting organisational studies.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with senior leaders and present findings.
• Knowledge of Qatarisation policies and succession planning best practices.
