Accountant – Construction & MEP Projects

About the role

The Accountant will join a dynamic finance team supporting multiple construction and MEP projects in Qatar. You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance, enabling strategic decisions and operational efficiency across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Prepare financial statements, reports and reconciliations.
• Monitor project expenses, budgets and cost allocations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Maintain financial records using ERP systems and accounting software.
• Coordinate with project managers to track project costs.
• Process invoices, supplier payments and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, company policies and accounting standards.
• Support audit requirements and maintain proper documentation.
• Prepare management reports to aid financial decision‑making.
• Improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or MEP contracting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices, financial reporting and project costing.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Good understanding of budgeting, cash‑flow management and cost control.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• GCC experience is an advantage.
