Accounting Clerk / Receiving Clerk

About the role

Marriott International is seeking an Accounting Clerk/Receiving Clerk to join its Finance & Accounting team in Doha. The role involves accurate processing of financial data, maintaining records, and supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
• Organise, secure, and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with policies.
• Record, store, access and analyse computerized financial information.
• Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
• Classify, code and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers or computer systems.
• Prepare, maintain and distribute financial, accounting, auditing or payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and reports as specified.
• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Provide professional service to guests and respond to internal inquiries.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related accounting or clerical experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and company policies.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with electronic spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to follow established accounting procedures.
