About the role
The Accounting Manager will lead the full accounting function across a diversified group of companies, ensuring accurate records, timely closings, and robust internal controls. This role supports management decision‑making through reliable financial reporting and analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations for multiple business units, including automotive, F&B, retail, real estate, maintenance, events, car service centers, and natural stone trading.
- Supervise and coach the finance team, assign work, review outputs, and meet strict deadlines.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, supplier payments, customer receipts, intercompany transactions, accruals, pre‑payments, and provisions.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, ensuring complete and accurate ledgers.
- Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, cash‑flow reports and performance analysis for each business unit.
- Maintain strong controls over cash, bank accounts, petty cash, corporate cards, inventory, receivables, payables and financial commitments.
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, sales, warehouse and branch teams to ensure correct recording of sales, purchases, stock movements and service revenue.
- Support ERP implementation, chart‑of‑accounts standardisation, finance policy rollout and process‑improvement initiatives.
- Interface with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, suppliers and internal departments, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA or CA is mandatory.
- 7‑10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in a multi‑company, multi‑branch or shared‑services finance environment.
- Proven track record of leading month‑end closings, financial reporting and audit processes.
Required skills
- ERP systems implementation and usage.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Inventory accounting for vehicles, spare parts, F&B stock, retail goods and stone trading.
- Fixed‑assets accounting and cost allocation across entities and projects.
- Cash management, bank reconciliation and treasury reporting.
- Chart‑of‑accounts design and finance policy development.
- Process improvement and internal‑control design.
