Accounts Payable and General Ledger Assistant (Healthcare)

About the role

A hospital in Doha is looking for an assistant to handle accounts payable and general ledger work. The role covers entering supplier invoices and expense claims into the accounting system, supporting payments and month-end closing, and resolving routine accounting queries with hospital departments.

Key responsibilities

• Check and enter supplier invoices, expense claims and supporting documents into the hospital's accounting system.
• Assist with supplier reconciliations, payment preparation and follow-up on missing approvals or documentation.
• Support journal entries, accrual schedules, account reconciliations and month-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized financial records and coordinate with hospital departments to resolve routine accounting queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, including relevant experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• ACCA studies, an accounting technician qualification or equivalent certification preferred.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of bookkeeping and invoice processing.
• Strong knowledge of Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail.
