Analyst - Restructuring

About the role

The bank’s Asset Recovery function is looking for an Analyst to drive the analytical work behind restructuring cases, supporting assessment, structuring, execution and tracking of distressed financing.

Key responsibilities

• Review distressed accounts in depth, covering financial performance, cash flow, debt‑servicing capacity, business viability and collateral.
• Build financial models, projections and restructuring scenarios to test outcomes.
• Draft case summaries, credit write‑ups and initial restructuring proposals.
• Gather and verify information on customers, facilities, collateral, legal standing, valuations and financials.
• Help shape restructuring terms and repayment plans and support negotiations.
• Coordinate documentation, credit approvals, conditions precedent and key milestones.
• Track restructured accounts against repayments, covenants, performance and milestones.
• Maintain case files, portfolio data and audit trails, producing regular and ad‑hoc reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or similar.
• 5+ years in banking – credit analysis, credit risk, restructuring, remedial or recovery.
• Strong experience in financial statement analysis, cash‑flow assessment and credit paper writing.
• Highly numerate, detail‑oriented with strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Discreet with confidential information and able to work with multiple stakeholders.
