Arabic-Speaking Duty Manager

About the role

Alwadi Hotel Doha, the first MGallery boutique hotel in Msheireb Downtown Doha, is looking for an Arabic-speaking Duty Manager. The role sits at the heart of hotel operations, ensuring every guest receives warm, elegant and personalised service, and involves leading by example, supporting the team and making timely operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, coordinating across all departments
• Act as the hotel's representative on duty, maintaining MGallery brand standards and procedures
• Welcome guests, communicate confidently with Arabic-speaking guests and understand their cultural expectations
• Personalise attention for VIPs, repeat guests and special occasions, and handle complaints and special requests promptly
• Conduct regular inspections of service quality, cleanliness, presentation and safety
• Monitor guest satisfaction and identify improvements
• Guide and support department teams, and coach staff on accountability and teamwork
• Make operational decisions in line with hotel policies, and manage emergencies and incidents per protocol
• Prepare handover reports, incident reports and daily duty logs
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering and Security, and monitor arrivals, departures, occupancy and events
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and MGallery quality standards

Required profile

• Previous experience in Front Office or hotel operations, preferably as a Duty Manager or supervisor in a luxury hotel
• Fluency in Arabic and English is essential
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and guest relations skills
• Good understanding of luxury hospitality standards and the MGallery brand
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overnight duties

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel operations, Front Office procedures and guest service standards
• Proficiency in hotel management systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to coordinate across departments and manage multiple priorities under pressure
