Arabic Teacher – High School (Start Aug 1, 2026)

About the role

GEMS American Academy in Qatar is seeking a dedicated Arabic Teacher for its Middle and High School programmes, commencing on 1 August 2026. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team committed to the GEMS Core Values and will play a pivotal role in delivering a high‑quality Arabic curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Arabic curriculum with up‑to‑date subject knowledge.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, attendance and resources.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
• Utilise media and technology to enhance classroom learning.
• Promote student well‑being, cultural awareness and a love of learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of progress.
• Participate in co‑curricular activities, school events and professional development.
• Uphold GEMS policies, procedures and codes of conduct at all times.

Required profile

• Hold a B.Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated commitment to the GEMS Core Values of respect, innovation, leadership, purpose and tenacity.
• Ability to work with students of varying abilities, including ESL, gifted, and low‑academic‑ability learners.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with students, parents and Ministry of Education officials.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Arabic language instruction.
• Competence in using classroom technology and media tools.
