Assistant Director of Finance

About the role

The Assistant Director of Finance manages the day-to-day operation of the Accounting Office in Doha, Qatar. The position covers financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, audit and control, asset and liability reconciliation, and working capital and cash control. It is a full-time management role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the accounting team, communicate expectations, give constructive feedback and participate in performance appraisals
• Oversee internal, external and regulatory audit processes and ensure compliance with SOPs and LSOPs
• Ensure the P&L is accurate, reconcile the balance sheet, and deliver financial statements on time
• Keep tax rates current, monitor all applicable taxes and ensure they are collected or accrued
• Use centralized accounting processes and shared services, and leverage information systems to generate financial reports and support management decisions
• Advise the Director of Finance on operating and financial issues and share financial information with executives, peers and subordinates
• Support other units with accounting and budgeting policies and help safeguard assets and manage business risk

Required profile

• 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major
• No work experience required
