Assistant Director of Food & Beverage - Banquets

About the role

Raffles & Fairmont Doha invites applications for an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage - Banquets. The role plays a key leadership part in supporting the performance, operational excellence and strategic direction of the Banquets and Events operation across the two properties. Working closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, it oversees the delivery of luxury experiences for conferences, weddings, social celebrations, corporate events and large functions, while driving revenue, profitability, guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director of Food & Beverage in leading the Banquets & Events operation
• Drive banquet revenue, profitability, productivity and cost efficiency
• Partner with Sales & Events to maximise business opportunities, conversion and event revenue
• Oversee the planning and delivery of luxury weddings, conferences, corporate events and social functions
• Lead, motivate and develop the Banquets leadership and operational teams, including succession planning
• Collaborate with Culinary, Sales, Finance, Rooms and Events teams on event planning and execution
• Optimise resources, staffing, equipment and processes
• Drive innovation in event experiences, menus, service concepts and banquet offerings
• Monitor market trends, guest feedback and business performance
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, food safety regulations, licensing and operational procedures
• Act as operational leader in the Food & Beverage division and represent Banquets in the Director's absence

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 6-8 years of Food & Beverage experience in luxury or five-star hospitality, including senior Banquets leadership
• Proven experience managing large-scale banquets, weddings, conferences and corporate events
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial performance management
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
• Experience with international luxury hotel brands is an advantage
