Assistant Finance Manager – Travel & Tourism

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support our Finance Manager in overseeing all finance and accounting functions within the travel and tourism sector. The role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, cash‑flow, and internal controls while leading a finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, receivables and payables, and provide insights to senior management.
• Manage travel‑related financial transactions, including ticketing, hotel bookings, commissions and supplier settlements.
• Assist in annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, highlighting significant deviations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance and accounting team, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards and coordinate audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with ACCA or CMA certification.
• 6–9 years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in travel, tourism or hospitality.
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience in a finance team.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
