Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

The Assistant Financial Controller will support day-to-day execution of general-ledger processes, assisting internal teams and external clients in understanding and applying accounting procedures. This full-time position is based at the Conference Centre Street office in Doha and reports to senior finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting projects and standard‑operating‑procedure (SOP) audits across all property areas.
• Perform ledger balancing, credit‑card ledger reconciliation, and detailed account verification.
• Generate accurate financial reports, presentations and period‑end statements in a timely manner.
• Analyze discrepancies, resolve issues and ensure compliance with relevant federal and state regulations.
• Monitor tax obligations, document profit and loss accurately, and maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Provide guidance to other units on budgeting policies, financial resource utilization and accounting best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (4‑year program) – no experience required.
• Or an associate degree (2‑year) in Finance, Accounting or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
