Assistant Hygiene Manager

About the role

The Assistant Hygiene Manager will supervise and coordinate food‑service operations to ensure strict compliance with hygiene and food‑safety standards. This role provides training, identifies risk areas, and supports management in daily staffing and quality activities within a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate operations to meet hygiene and food‑safety standards.
• Advise on proper food‑handling practices and deliver food‑hygiene training for new hires and trainees.
• Identify key risk areas in food operations and implement pre‑emptive remedial actions.
• Provide technical advice on product labeling to satisfy government requirements.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees.
• Follow all company safety and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional while maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Address guest service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships to support team goals and uphold quality expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Environmental Health or Culinary.
• 2–4 years of related work experience in food safety or hygiene.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• No specific license or certification required.
