Assistant Manager - Core Banking Application System Analyst

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Core Banking Application System Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining QNB's portfolio of banking software applications. The role works closely with development and application teams to ensure reliable deployment and operation of critical banking systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective solutions to user requirements and contribute to the overall IT strategy.
• Assist in implementing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for core banking applications.
• Promote cost‑consciousness, efficiency and productivity while operating within delegated authority.
• Collaborate with analysts, designers and system owners in support, development and unit testing of new and existing software programs.
• Liaise with developers to support quality assurance, program logic and data processing.
• Coordinate with the Manager – Core Banking Applications to address emergencies and resolve problems promptly.
• Maintain activities in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to improve turnaround times.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with internal departments to achieve group objectives.
• Provide accurate data to auditors, compliance, financial control and risk teams when required.
• Engage in the development and deployment of new applications, system software and enhancements across the enterprise.
