Assistant Manager – OT Cyber Security (Technology Consulting)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – OT Cyber Security will embed cybersecurity throughout the lifecycle of major technology consulting projects, from design to operational hand‑over, for clients in the oil & gas sector and related industries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project‑specific OT security, ensuring compliance with client policies, Qatar National ICSSS and ISA/IEC 62443 standards.
• Apply “secure by design” principles, conduct OT‑focused risk assessments and define secure configuration baselines.
• Oversee secure configuration, deployment, commissioning and vulnerability assessments of OT systems.
• Define and execute security‑focused Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
• Design secure network architectures based on the Purdue Model and supervise third‑party contractor compliance.
• Participate in the development, testing and delivery of OT incident‑response plans and provide training to OT and IT staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum six years of cyber security experience, with at least three years focused on operational technology.
• Proven experience managing security lifecycles in large‑scale industrial projects.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Background in oil & gas or a similar industry is preferred.

Required skills

• Industrial protocols (DCS, PLC) and asset monitoring technologies.
• Purdue Model network architecture design.
• OT IDS and vulnerability assessment tools.
• Secure configuration management and baseline creation.
• OT security standards and frameworks (ISA/IEC 62443, Qatar National ICSSS).
