Assistant Project Manager – Restaurant Development & Fit-Out

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the end‑to‑end delivery of restaurant development and fit‑out projects. You will work closely with design, engineering, contractors and internal teams to ensure each restaurant is built safely, on time, within budget and to brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning and delivering restaurant construction and fit‑out projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, trackers and progress reports.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, suppliers, designers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor site progress, conduct regular inspections and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Oversee civil, architectural, structural, MEP, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire‑life‑safety works.
• Manage interior fit‑out works, kitchen equipment installation and commissioning.
• Liaise with authorities to obtain permits, inspections and approvals.
• Work with Procurement to secure long‑lead items and avoid delivery delays.
• Review quotations, variations, cost implications and maintain snagging/punch‑list records.
• Ensure collection of as‑built drawings, warranties, certificates and manuals before handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or related field.
• Proven experience in restaurant development, fit‑out or commercial construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, MEP systems and fit‑out specifications.
