Assistant Vice President Corporate Actions (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB, Qatar National Bank, is hiring an Assistant Vice President Corporate Actions (Qatarization). The incumbent takes responsibility for the Dividend and IPO Processing unit and ensures timely and accurate distribution of dividends to corporate shareholders under contractual arrangements with Group Corporate Credit. The role also supervises IPO-related activities of corporate clients through the IPO subscription process, and helps explore ways to improve the IPO processing system and dividend distribution for non-Qatari shareholders.

Key responsibilities

• Create and monitor KPIs for the Dividend and IPO Processing Unit, and implement best practices for the role.
• Develop Service Level Agreements with internal departments to improve turnaround times for dividend and IPO processing.
• Liaise with counterparties in lead banks and corporate customers, and build strong relationships with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations, and timely, accurate processing of dividend and IPO transactions within agreed time frames.
• Maintain shareholder unit files in line with regulatory requirements and coordinate with other banks involved in IPOs.
• Supervise IPO subscription applications, ensure required documents are gathered, and comply with KYC and AML requirements.
• Provide timely information to auditors and the compliance function, and help resolve customer queries.
• Participate in marketing dividend distribution and IPO processing services to listed corporate customers.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, encourage innovation and recognise good ideas.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree; university graduate preferred, ideally in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a highly rated international bank.
