Assistant Vice President – Data Science

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Data Science will lead advanced analytics and AI initiatives across QNB, partnering with business and operational leaders to turn data into strategic insights. The role combines hypothesis‑driven analysis, machine‑learning projects and large‑language‑model applications to solve complex banking problems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver predictive, prescriptive and generative AI solutions, including deep‑learning and visualization models.
• Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for data‑driven projects.
• Promote cost‑effective analytics, ensuring projects deliver measurable business impact.
• Coordinate with the EVP Data & Analytics to obtain approvals for capital‑intensive initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall QNB Data & Analytics strategy and communicate solutions aligned with budget targets.
• Support senior leadership by preparing business insights, reports and AI capability roadmaps.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in data science and AI within the financial services sector.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and translate technical results into business value.
• Strong understanding of risk management and financial performance metrics.
