Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant

About the role

The Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant leads the design, specification, and integration of large‑scale AV systems for stadiums, arenas, corporate campuses, and public venues. The role requires expertise in EASE/Soundvision acoustic modelling, giant LED display systems, timing & scoring solutions, and IP‑networked AV infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and specification of audio, video, and control systems for large venues.
• Develop acoustic models using EASE/Soundvision for loudspeaker coverage and intelligibility.
• Design and integrate giant LED screens, scoreboards, ribbon boards, and control‑room displays.
• Create timing and scoring solutions with seamless integration across AV, broadcast, and networked systems.
• Design IP‑networked AV solutions (audio‑over‑IP, video‑over‑IP, control system integration) aligned with IT infrastructure.
• Produce detailed documentation: schematics, signal‑flow diagrams, loudspeaker layouts, LED positioning, and network diagrams.
• Ensure designs meet scalability, redundancy, and lifecycle management requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, IT teams, venue operators, vendors, and integrators to meet technical, operational, and budget constraints.
• Oversee commissioning, tuning, and final verification of AV systems, including site surveys and performance validation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional AV consulting/design experience on large venues.
• Proven experience with LED video display systems, giant scoreboards, timing & scoring solutions, and videowall design.
• Demonstrated portfolio delivering large‑scale AV projects from design through commissioning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Audio Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Preferred certifications: AVIXA CTS, CTS‑D, CTS‑I, Dante Level 3, and manufacturer certifications (e.g., L‑Acoustics, Bosch, Bose, Meyer Sound, Daktronics, Infiled, Novastar, Q‑SYS, Extron).
