Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing – Mental Health

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor in Nursing with a specialization in mental health. The successful candidate will join the College of Health Sciences to design and deliver high‑quality nursing education that integrates clinical practice and innovative learning technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate nursing courses across theory, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings.
• Assess student learning outcomes and provide mentorship and preceptorship.
• Collaborate with industry partners and advisory committees to align curriculum with professional standards.
• Maintain accreditation documentation and contribute to curriculum development and improvement.
• Engage in scholarly activities, research projects, and community outreach.

Required profile

• PhD in Nursing or related health field (or Master’s/Bachelor’s in Nursing with a PhD in another discipline).
• Registered nurse in good standing and eligible for Qatar licensing.
• Minimum five years of recent full‑time clinical nursing practice, with demonstrated experience in mental health nursing.
• Teaching experience in a post‑secondary nursing program or extensive clinical experience with student mentorship.
• Evidence of leadership in curriculum development, research, or professional service.

Required skills

• Simulation‑based teaching methodologies.
