Associate – KYC Strategy (Qatarization)

About the role

The Associate, KYC Strategy will implement and embed the KYC framework designed by the KYC Strategy unit across QNB Group. The role ensures that the KYC platform complies with AML/CFT regulations and mitigates legal, financial and reputational risks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist compliance teams in meeting Global AML/CTF and KYC requirements by conducting timely KYC reviews for new and existing customers.
• Identify compliance weaknesses and deficiencies in KYC processes at Group level.
• Ensure KYC data requirements align with regulator instructions, FATF recommendations and international best practices.
• Implement KPIs and best practices for the Associate, KYC Strategy function.
• Promote cost‑consciousness, efficiency and productivity while minimizing waste.
• Maintain and update the KYC profiling approach in line with global standards and local regulations.
• Act as custodian of all customer KYC data and the KYC reporting platform.
• Liaise with regulators and relevant AML/CFT bodies as required.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, including QCB instructions, FATF and Wolfsberg guidelines.
• Experience conducting KYC reviews using a risk‑based approach.
• Ability to identify and address compliance gaps at a group level.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Capacity to work within delegated authority and collaborate with compliance and regulatory teams.
