Bartender

About the role

Raffles & Fairmont Doha invites you to join its team as a Bartender. The role covers preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, wines and spirits, with service that reflects the luxury and sophistication of the brand. It calls for strong mixology knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
• Provide friendly, professional and courteous guest service, recommending drinks and answering questions.
• Maintain a clean and organised bar, stock supplies and manage inventory.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation standards when handling food and beverages.
• Check guests' identification to verify age requirements for alcohol.
• Handle cash and process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with the F&B team to ensure smooth bar operations.
• Attend training on new products, techniques and hospitality standards.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation and cleaning.

Required profile

• Previous bartending experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or upscale bar.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, spirits and other beverages.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and to stand for long periods.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation.
