Beauty & Cosmetic Ingredients Development Manager

About the role

Palomba General Trading LLC is looking for a Beauty & Cosmetic Ingredients Development Manager based in Doha, Qatar, working a hybrid, customer-facing role covering Qatar and selected GCC projects. The role develops customer projects in skincare, hair care, personal care, wellness and premium beauty by connecting brands, formulators and manufacturers with botanical extracts, natural actives, essential oils and specialty cosmetic ingredients. It is not a conventional sales position.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with cosmetic brands and personal-care manufacturers in Qatar and work with their Product Development, R&D, Innovation and Purchasing teams.
• Understand new-product briefs for skincare, hair care and body care and identify suitable botanical extracts and natural actives.
• Coordinate samples and technical documentation, support ingredient evaluation in customer formulations and follow projects from concept through ingredient approval.
• Identify emerging beauty concepts for Qatar and the GCC and coordinate international suppliers during technical projects.
• Monitor new product trends and support commercial teams after technical acceptance.
• Develop concepts such as Middle Eastern botanical skincare, premium saffron beauty products, antioxidant serums, botanical scalp care, natural wellness oils and spa formulations.

Required profile

• 4+ years in cosmetics, personal care, beauty or cosmetic ingredients, with experience working with brands or manufacturers and with R&D or formulation teams.
• Customer-facing experience; strong presentation and communication skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic strongly preferred.
• Experience in Qatar or GCC beauty markets is highly valued.
• Ideal backgrounds include cosmetic ingredients product manager, beauty product development manager, skincare product manager, cosmetic ingredients specialist, beauty innovation manager, technical sales manager, personal care product specialist or cosmetic project manager.
