Branch Manager (Qatari & Children of Qatari Mothers)

About the role

The Branch Manager will lead the assigned branch of Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) in line with the bank’s strategic objectives and mission. The role focuses on driving sales, achieving business growth, and delivering high‑quality service to customers while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and supervise sub‑ordinates to ensure efficient execution of branch activities in accordance with operating procedures.
• Contribute to budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance.
• Implement segment value propositions, manage manpower staffing, and oversee marketing and business development plans for the branch.
• Lead customer‑focus initiatives, product awareness campaigns, and approve cash advances in line with CBQ policy.
• Monitor branch performance against objectives, track credit‑portfolio quality, and execute remedial actions when needed.
• Manage branch service quality, resolve customer complaints, and promote self‑service channels such as ATMs and digital banking.
• Conduct coaching and capability‑building programmes for branch staff to improve performance.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc reports on branch achievements and ensure compliance with risk, audit, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through change‑management and implementation of functional policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business‑related discipline.
• Eligibility: Qatari nationals and children of Qatari mothers.
