Business Development Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Consultant to act as a technical pre‑sales partner for our client account teams. The role involves translating complex customer challenges into scalable cloud and data‑center solutions, guiding the end‑to‑end transformation journey from legacy environments to modern platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams to develop opportunities and design solution architectures that address customer needs.
• Create high‑level and low‑level design documents, technical proposals and cost estimates.
• Lead technical aspects of projects, making architecture decisions and supporting delivery teams.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations and communicate solution value to customers.
• Define and standardise Data Center and Cloud Managed Services portfolio for the product catalogue.
• Conduct data‑center and application assessments, produce migration roadmaps and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Train sales and delivery teams on new cloud technologies and offerings.
• Partner with technology vendors (Azure, AWS, GCP, VMware) to leverage optimal solutions for customers.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a Solution Architect or technical pre‑sales role within a service‑provider environment.
• Proven ability to design and size cloud and data‑center solutions and to lead technical delivery.
• Strong communication skills for both verbal and written interaction with customers.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS services, networking, migrations, Azure Migrate).
• Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services.
• VMware and private‑cloud technologies.
• Data‑center and application assessment tools.
• Azure networking components: Virtual Networks, Gateways, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute, Private Link, VPN, Front Door.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle hosting is a plus.
• Knowledge of networking, security, storage and backup technologies.
