Business Planning Officer / Specialist

About the role

The Business Planning Officer / Specialist reports to the Strategy and Business Planning Manager and plays a pivotal role in developing, overseeing, and refining Media City Qatar’s annual business planning process. The role ensures that business plans are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and provides data‑driven insights for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee annual business plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Facilitate cross‑departmental discussions to harmonise departmental goals with the broader company strategy.
• Coordinate with Strategy & Data Analysts to deliver data‑driven insights and recommendations.
• Identify risks to business plans and work with department directors to implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with the PMO to monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Assist in financial forecasts, budgeting, and monitoring performance against budgets.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in business planning, strategy development or project management within a corporate environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics or a related field (Master’s/MBA is a plus).
• Proven ability to work with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to drive strategic initiatives.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Experience using business planning and project management software.
• Advanced financial analysis and budgeting capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable strategic recommendations.
