Capital Planning & Portfolio Manager – FM

About the role

The successful candidate will lead the development, prioritisation and governance of the Facilities Management Capital and REPEX plans for an international engineering consultancy in Qatar, supporting a programme valued at approximately QAR 1 billion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual and multi‑year Capital and REPEX planning cycles, establishing a clear portfolio framework for project evaluation, prioritisation, approval and monitoring.
• Coordinate with FM stakeholders to identify capital renewal, replacement and infrastructure investment requirements, and prepare consolidated investment plans, business cases, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow requirements.
• Manage portfolio and budget performance for a programme valued at roughly QAR 1 billion, overseeing expenditure, commitments, risks and forecast accuracy.
• Provide concise executive dashboards and reports covering delivery status, financial performance, risks and decisions, and improve capital planning, portfolio reporting, forecasting and governance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance or Business Administration.
• Demonstrated experience in capital planning, REPEX planning, portfolio management, programme controls or investment planning within a large organisation.
• Proven experience managing significant capital budgets, forecasts, business cases and executive reporting.
• Experience in an asset‑intensive environment such as aviation, facilities management, infrastructure, transport or utilities is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English with strong stakeholder management and executive presentation skills.
