Category Manager – Non Food

About the role

Talabat is seeking a Category Manager – Non Food to lead the growth of its tMart grocery store in Qatar. The role will own the full product lifecycle, from assortment planning and pricing to promotions and supplier management, ensuring the service delivers hyper‑market quality at 30‑minute delivery speed.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of category management, including assortment, pricing, offers and supply for non‑food items.
• Monitor economic performance (sales, gross margin, P&L) and align results with the commercial strategy.
• Define and maintain local assortment, integrate basic assortment, and provide regional teams with product quantity forecasts.
• Select, negotiate and purchase from local suppliers, managing cost price, discounts, rebates and payment terms.
• Set prices according to pricing guidelines, conduct market price audits and country price reviews.
• Identify promotional products, develop the country promotion calendar and ensure flawless execution of each campaign.
• Collaborate with operations, provide input on flows, tools, fixtures and resolve supplier issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing multiple product categories in large retailers or FMCG environments, preferably in an international setting.
• Proven ability to build teams and lead cross‑functional projects at scale.
• Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and structured with the ability to prioritize and deliver solutions.
• Hands‑on attitude, willing to support warehouse operations or customer service when needed.
