CCTV Operator

About the role

The CCTV Operator monitors Qatar Duty Free (QDF) premises using closed‑circuit television (CCTV) and access‑control systems. The role involves real‑time surveillance, incident reporting, and coordination with internal and external security agencies to protect people, assets, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV feeds across QDF areas to detect and prevent loss, damage, or safety incidents.
• Escalate security, health, and safety concerns to supervisors, officers, and relevant authorities.
• Support investigations by providing video evidence and detailed reports.
• Liaise with police, Ministry of Interior, Qatar Airways Security, airport security, and other agencies as required.
• Maintain accurate records of events, actions taken, and radio/telephone communications.
• Assist in emergency response, evacuation, firefighting, and control‑room security protocols.
• Monitor performance of third‑party security contractors and ensure compliance with QDF and QR security directives.

Required profile

• Ability to observe and analyse behavior through video surveillance.
• Strong communication skills for reporting and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate written records.
• Capability to operate control‑centre equipment in line with procedures and legislation.
