Chef de Partie – Pastry & Bakery

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Chef de Partie – Pastry & Bakery to create exceptional baked goods and desserts that enhance the guest experience at our pre‑opening hotel in central Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads and bakery items to the highest quality standards.
• Manage the pastry and bakery section to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support the development of innovative dessert menus and seasonal offerings.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion control.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management and ordering.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Minimise food waste and contribute to cost‑control initiatives.
• Assist with banquet, catering and special event requirements.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen colleagues in the pastry and bakery section.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in pastry and bakery within a hotel, resort or upscale culinary environment.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, bread production and dessert presentation.
• Passion for creativity and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Relevant culinary qualifications or professional training preferred.
