Chief Legal Officer – Global Hospitality & Real Estate

About the role

The Chief Legal Officer (CLO) will act as the principal legal advisor to the Board, CEO and senior leadership, ensuring legal compliance across all business activities and providing strategic guidance for hospitality, tourism, real estate and cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Advise the Board and executive team on legal implications of mergers, acquisitions, divestments and new market entries.
• Oversee corporate governance, draft board resolutions, shareholder agreements and ensure best practices in board relations.
• Lead negotiations and drafting of hotel management, franchise and operator agreements with global brands.
• Direct legal aspects of M&A, joint ventures, spin‑offs, capital raises and post‑transaction integration.
• Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks, manage litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution.
• Lead and develop the internal legal and compliance team and manage external counsel.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in hospitality, tourism and real estate law across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven track record in M&A, joint ventures, franchising and cross‑border investments.
• Strong leadership ability with experience influencing board and C‑suite executives.
• High integrity, discretion and sound judgment.
