Claim Settlement Coordinator – Baggage Services

About the role

We are seeking a Claim Settlement Coordinator for GS Hub Baggage Services based in Doha, Qatar. The role provides administrative support and oversees all functions of the claims section, ensuring high‑standard service delivery across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, review, evaluate and settle baggage claims in line with company guidelines and international conventions.
• Communicate claim settlement policies to internal and external customers.
• Monitor claim documentation, proof of purchase, and investigations to ensure compliance with mandatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Prorate Officers and provide required information for interline baggage claim settlements.
• Handle delayed, lost, damaged, and pilferage baggage cases, ensuring timely closure.
• Prepare statistical analyses, daily/weekly/monthly reports and maintain logs of shift activities.
• Assist passengers professionally, authorising settlement amounts within KPI targets.
• Support website forums and outstation stations in claim evaluation, guiding cases up to USD 400 and escalating higher‑value claims.
• Guide network stations on payment failures and liaise with Finance and IT teams.
• Perform additional department duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
• Experience supervising baggage or claims functions within an airport or cargo environment.
• Ability to work under time, resource and information constraints.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality, tact and discretion.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of company policies and international baggage claim conventions.
