Commis I – Banquet Kitchen

About the role

We are seeking a Commis I to join our Banquet Kitchen team at The Ritz‑Carlton in Doha. The role involves preparing special meals, maintaining food quality, and supporting the culinary team during busy service periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure proper cooking.
• Thaw frozen food in refrigeration units and maintain accurate food logs.
• Ensure correct portioning, arrangement, and garnish of all dishes.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, informing chefs of excess items for daily specials.
• Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Prepare and cook cold foods and follow food preparation checklists.
• Adhere to company safety, security, and uniform policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of related culinary experience.
• Technical, trade, or vocational school education preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
