Communications and Outreach Intern

About the role

This Could Work is a brand strategy consultancy in Doha helping new ventures build their foundations and established businesses sharpen theirs. It is looking for a Communications and Outreach Intern, a remote, part-time, unpaid role of about 10 to 15 hours per week for three months, with a weekly meeting.

Key responsibilities

• Research Doha businesses that would be a good fit and help reach out to them
• Keep opinion pieces and press pitches on track and find new outlets and journalist requests worth answering
• Look for speaking slots, panels and events where the consultancy should be seen, and keep profiles and communications organised

Required profile

• Studying or recently graduated in communications, marketing, PR or journalism
• Strong written English, with a writing sample to share
• Comfortable reaching out to people you do not know
• Organised, able to track several outreach threads at once and follow up without reminders
• Familiarity with Doha's local brand scene; Arabic is a plus
