Community Order Support (COS) Officer

About the role

V2X provides mobile, roving and static unarmed community order support services, including first response, incident recording and unarmed protection and safety services. The role covers static, dismounted (foot) and mounted (vehicle) patrols to maintain order, protect personnel and resources and respond to calls for service. Deployment to Qatar for extended periods is required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide unarmed community order support services, including roving (foot), mobile (vehicle) and static patrols
• Perform static, dismounted and mounted community order patrols
• Provide first response and record incidents
• Respond to calls for service

Required profile

• High school diploma; one year of related experience may substitute one year of education if a degree is required
• At least 3 years of security, law enforcement or military experience
• At least 21 years of age and U.S. citizen
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Clean driving record with a valid driver's license
• Ability to pass the medical and physical requirements of the contract, including a pre-deployment drug test, 52 hours of training, a psychological exam and a physical fitness test
• Able to lift, carry and wear 40 pounds of PPE for long periods and run during emergencies
• Willingness to work six days a week, twelve hours a day, in shifts including day or night shifts

Required skills

• Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
