Construction Superintendent – Offshore

About the role

The Construction Superintendent reports to the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and is accountable for delivering safe, incident‑free offshore construction campaigns. The role oversees planning, preparation and execution of projects, coordinates with onshore teams, and supervises contractor resources to meet campaign objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to NOC’s incident‑free culture, health, safety and environmental policies.
• Plan, prepare and execute construction campaigns in line with standards and procedures.
• Compile campaign information into the Bookies Board and confirm execution readiness with onshore teams.
• Support the OIM by developing detailed execution plans and submitting daily progress reports.
• Supervise contractor resources, develop Level 4 plans and monitor activities from kickoff to handover.
• Collaborate with the HSE Advisor to create the campaign HSE organization plan and validate Job Safety Analyses.
• Act as the onboard HSE representative, attend safety and planning meetings, and promote safe working practices.
• Execute construction activities such as pipeline, vessel, valve, structure, well‑connection repairs and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, local regulations and project budgets.
• Identify bottlenecks or non‑conformances and initiate corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising offshore construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE policies and ability to enforce incident‑free standards.
• Leadership skills to manage direct reports and a larger team of subcontractors.
• Excellent coordination with onshore teams and ability to produce detailed progress reports.
• Experience in contract strategy, tendering processes and scope management.
