Consultant Family Medicine – Full‑Time Position in Qatar

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Consultant in Family Medicine to join a leading healthcare provider in Qatar. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centered primary care across all age groups, with a focus on disease prevention, health promotion, and chronic disease management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare services to patients of all ages, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct routine health assessments, preventive screenings, and annual check‑ups.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate specialist referrals.
• Promote preventive health through patient education, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular conditions.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with hospital policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives, CME activities, and departmental meetings.
• Mentor junior physicians and support the development of clinical services.

Required profile

• MD, DNB, MRCGP, Arab Board, or equivalent qualification in Family Medicine.
• Board‑certified or equivalent recognized consultant qualification.
• 5–10 years of post‑specialization experience at consultant level.
• Eligibility for, or ability to obtain, Qatar medical licensure.
• Strong expertise in primary care, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and family‑centered healthcare.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
