Contracts Management Specialist

About the role

Sidra Medicine is looking for a Specialist in Contracts Management who acts as the subject matter expert for the Contract Management and Claim applications and solutions provided by the Supply Chain Department. The Specialist maintains the organization's insurance plans and business rules in these applications, works with business stakeholders to analyze, communicate and validate requirements for system changes, and investigates business problems and opportunities under the guidance of the Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Revenue Cycle Contract Management and Claim Scrubber application implementation and provide customer support.
• Work with client departments, IT managers and staff on a full suite of revenue cycle applications, third-party solutions and other technological solutions.
• Update insurance plans and business rules in the application, define functionality through discussions with end users, and recommend modifications, configurations and processes.
• Create test plans, establish cost and time estimates, and contribute to the application lifecycle (planning, design, build, testing, maintenance and support).
• Analyze, design and develop process flows; devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems.
• Design, develop and test application extensions and interfaces, and customize application software to business needs.
• Document issues and resolutions, write functional specifications and create business process documentation.
• Manage small IT projects, handle stressful situations and critical deadlines, and investigate the impact of proposed changes on system performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (IT, Business, Finance); Master's in Business Administration, Healthcare or a related field preferred; postgraduate training in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 8+ years as an Application Specialist in a healthcare revenue cycle environment, including 3+ years with Cerner Revenue Cycle solutions (ProFit and/or RevWorks) covering patient access, health information management and patient accounting.
• Understanding of healthcare insurance systems from a provider perspective and experience in a healthcare environment.
• PMP, ITIL Foundation, MCIPS certification and membership in HFMA, HIMSS or PMI preferred.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of revenue cycle contract management applications and Cerner Millennium revenue cycle solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and support procurement compliance with legal standards.
• Demonstrated experience in a computerized ERP environment and in project management.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and fluency in written and spoken English; fluency in Arabic preferred.
